Scuttle: or, Doing Things With Webspace

Sure I’ve done things here, I have an installation of gregarious that i use to read 70 or so feeds, I had a WordpressMu site for a while(which was insane–spam city), and I have this blog(which had more articles till i trashed it all and started over). Now I’ve decided to do some other things.

One such thing is an installation of scuttle which is a del.icio.us-alike bookmark service. I’m not doing this because i don’t like del.icio.us, I love del.icio.us. The main reason is because I like having a personal copy of everything. So from now on I bookmark on both del.icio.us and my own personal bookmark server, which for now can be reached via this link.

I have regged the domain Keep4.us and when i get around to mucking with dns settings ill be pointing it here as well so the address will be http://keep4.us/bookmarks/. It will be a hard row to hoe with scuttle as scuttle.org is perpetually down and thus so is the wiki.

I got the css for my installation of scuttle from splitbrain and his site appears in the top 10 google results for scuttle documentation so perhaps I’ll try to correspond with him about scuttle. Perhaps he can even help me with the .htaccess problems. :/

Feel free to register on my server to store your bookmarks there and check back here for more on my bookmark service and also other things i may be doing(possible a wiki).

peace.
