My RSS Feed is Broken

All of a sudden my rss feed is borked. haven’t made any changes to anything yet the feed has just quit working. So if you run a wordpress blog and you have encountered this problem please come give me a shout. I find it very frustrating. The comments rss works fine yet the primary feed is totally empty. If I am unable to fix it, or it doesn’t fix itself which seems possible since it broke itself then i may export my blog and wipe the /blog directory and get a new install of wordpress.
In short - GRRRRRRRRRR!!!
UPDATE: It was time for an upgrade anyway so i backed everything up and wiped the whole /blog dir. After my upgrade it all worked perfectly. Still don’t know what caused the issue to begin with, but for now I’m doing the happy dance. 
UPDATE: Apparently my happy dance was presumptuous because just as it broke itself before, it broke itself again. I guess it being fixed after my upgrade was just dumb luck. Over the last few hours it has been broken part of the time working at other times, but even when it works it doesn’t validate.
